bio

I'm Anastasiia Gavrilova, a Berlin-based cinematographer and artist. Trained in architecture and fine arts, I approach cinematography through space, light, and emotional precision — working across fiction, documentary, and commercial projects. I develop a visual language that is both intuitive and controlled, translating the emotional core of a scene into images. Moving between intimacy and distance, depending on what the story needs. My images carry weight, tension, and meaning.

  • 1999-2008: Attended extra courses in Fine Arts at an Arts School, received a certificate.

  • 2008-2014: Studied Architecture, earned a Diploma in Architecture at Nizhny Novgorod, Russian Federation.

  • 2014-2015: Worked as a Junior Architect in Nizhny Novgorod, Russian Federation.

  • 2018: Completed an internship at Arri Rental Berlin.

  • 2018-2022: Earned a Bachelor of Arts in Cinematography from the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf.
